$800,000 for projects located in Targeted Employment Areas (Rural or High-Unemployment). Standard projects require $1,050,000. All Open EB5 projects qualify for the $800K threshold.
How long does the EB-5 process take?
I-526E adjudication ranges from 12–24 months depending on category. Reserved set-asides (Rural, High-Unemployment, Infrastructure) typically see faster processing. Conditional Green Card follows approval; the I-829 is filed two years later for permanent status.
Is the investment refundable?
EB-5 investments are at-risk by statute, there is no guaranteed return. Open EB5 projects are structured with capital-preservation strategies and full transparency. Our counsel reviews each subscription agreement individually with the applicant.
Do I need a lawyer separate from Open EB5?
Yes, every EB-5 applicant must retain independent U.S. immigration counsel to file I-526E. Open EB5 works with several established firms and can refer you, but the attorney-client relationship is yours, not ours.
